Consider Your Ways
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts..." Isaiah 55:8-9
If you are not in the right position to receive your harvest, evidenced by your current state of affairs, then the answer is to now "Consider Your Ways!
I. These are the End Times.
There is no more time for today's Christians to have doubts about who they are in Christ Jesus. Are you still struggling with money issues, marriage issues, and/or spiritual issues? When will you accept the Word of God on these matters and be healed? How long will you need to be saved before you begin to use the power of Jesus in your life? Jesus has already done everything that He is going to do for you. If you are waiting for Him to do something new, then you are wasting your time. He has already healed you, blessed you, restored you, and saved you. All you need to do is get that knowledge out of your head and receive it into your heart. Stop waiting on God and act on what His Word has already told you to do.
In 1st Samuel 17:33-39 you will see how David, the shepherd boy learned to "free fall" with the Word of God. His faith was unquestionable. He believed God and so he acted according to His Word.
When the lion and the bear came and attacked his sheep, David struck the animal and then he grabbed it by the beard and killed it. He grabbed it! He was not afraid or worried if God would protect him, he knew that God would protect him.
When David saw Goliath on the battlefield, he was not afraid or worried about the size or the strength or the might of Goliath. David knew that the same God that delivered the lion and bear into his hands would also deliver this giant into his hands. He understood that God does not change. His Word remains the same no matter what the circumstances are. He knew he was prepared to receive the victory because the battle belonged to the Lord.
Remember, David's father, Jesse, sent him to the battlefield to bring supplies to his brothers and bring back a report on the battle. He had done just that on other occasions. However, David had been anointed King of Israel by the prophet Samuel and the power of his anointing began to stir within his heart when he saw the entire army of Israel stand in fear of an uncircumsized Philistine. He told King Saul in verse :34, that he "used" to keep his father's sheep, because he knew that day he was a warrior for the Lord.
David was standing on the Word of God once again, this time on the battlefield. There were well over 300,000 Israelite soldiers at the battlefield, but none would step on the battlefield. There can be no victory without first stepping onto the battlefield. Additionally, when King Saul tried to make him wear his armor, David said he could not wear it. Listen, you cannot fight your battles wearing someone else's armor. Be who God created you to be and that will be more than enough. You do not need to be Joyce Meyer, Kenneth Copeland, Fredrick K.C. Price, or even your pastor, just be yourself and God will recognize you and properly equip you for your battle.
Stop crying out to God everytime an attack comes your way. You are already equipped to win. Did you ever wonder why the lion and the bear attacked David's sheep? It is because that is what lions and bears do. Did you ever wonder why you get attacked by the enemy? It is because that is what the enemy does. So, do like David and attack back and fight because God is on your side, therefore, you cannot lose.
God has equipped every believer to win their battles. It does not happen after graduating from some Bible School, or after taking some ministerial course, or after being a Christian for a number of years. (Maturity in Christ Jesus is not achieved by longevity, but by pursuit of the Word of God) You are equipped by your testimony from the first day of your salvation. Use your testimony to win others to the Lord and remind yourself and the enemy that you have already won.
II. Are you prospering yet?
To get back to the point of this message you must deal with your beliefs about money. You must transform and renew your mind to conform to the Word of God and not to the ways of the world. God is waiting for you to to receive the blessings He already has prepared for you. If you are not receiving His blessing, then consider your ways.
For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights. - Proverbs 3:12
Praise the Lord!
