Foundation For: Life More Abundantly

"The love of God is poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit." (Romans 5:5)

"The love in our hearts Wasn't put there to stay Love isn't love Till you give it away"

God is love. Love is the foundation of life. Love is defined in I Corinthians 13. It is an exceptional chapter on love because it clearly leaves out any reference or inference to emotions or feelings. Love is not tied to or dependant on the five senses. Love is available to a person to be shared with many different people. We can love our spouse, children, parents, siblings, friends, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, and even strangers. Although, the love we have for each of those mentioned above is real, it also different. Love is inclusive and unlimited. Love never runs out because its source is eternal. Love is always available to us from the Father by simply asking for it.

If you don't know the Father, then how could you possibly know anything about love? If you don't know the Son, Jesus Christ, then how could you possibly experience love? If you don't know the Holy Spirit, then how could you possibly give love away? Love is given away to us to be given away by us. (Please read I Corinthians Chapter 13.)

Love is:
L - living
O - out of
V - vision (who we are for people)
E - everyday

Lust is not love. Lust does fully involve the five senses. Lust is emotional and weighs heavily on how we FEEL. Lust is always about what we want, need and desire. Lustful people are takers, self-seekers, self-gratifiers, self-focused, and sinful. They have either been deceived by the demonic forces around them or have made clear and conscious choices to be lustful. Lustful people are never satisfied. They are like a consuming fire. They speak words of love, but their actions are of hate. They are never at fault, never wrong, never responsible, and never sorry. They are unforgiving, carrying their grudges around like a badge of honor. They are vengeful people, always hurting inside and hurtful to people on the outside. Lustful people speak of their hurts of yesterday as if they happened only moments ago. Lust leads only to death.

Lust is:
l - living
u - under
s - satanic
t - temptations
