THE DEFEAT OF SUICIDE - Part I

I know that the approach to the suicide prevention and treatment methods differ greatly between the secular world and Christianity. At least it should be drastically different. The Bible says in the Gospel of John 10:10 "that the thief, the devil, comes to steal, kill, and to destroy, but I, Jesus, have come to give life and give it more abundantly."

If a Christian actually believes the words of John 10:10, then they would absolutely know that suicide is a demonic attack. Demonic or spiritual warfare attacks cannot be won, resolved or defeated by non-spiritual means. In others words, suicide cannot be treated and defeated. Suicide must be defeated by spiritual means, by the Word of God. It will always require faith, prayer, fasting, reading the Word of God, and then acting on God's Word to win spiritual warfare battles. God promises, the battle is the His and the victory is ours, in 1 Samuel 17:47.

Unfortunately, too many Christians rely on secular or worldly treatments for everything that comes against them, from the common cold to cancer and suicide. I believe that most Christians think that God, and/or Jesus, can heal them, but only if He decides to do so. Jesus came to destroy all of the works of the devil (sickness, disease, pride, etc.), 1 John 3:8.

Since God has already decided to do so, they must not believe that it is up to them to receive their healing. Jesus said many times, "according to YOUR faith let it be done to you." I know it is difficult to believe that healing actually involves the participation of the person being attacked by demonic forces. Many believe that they just need to "wait on the Lord" for their healing to eventually come to them.

There are NO treatment programs in the Bible, in the Word of God. If you come to Jesus to be healed, then ask for your healing and believe in your heart, by faith, and you will be healed. Healing for a Christian is a matter of faith in God to do what He has ALREADY said He will do, and not a matter of God being willing to heal His children.

The New Testament or New Covenant is the ONLY covenant that God has given to Christians in the name of His Son, Jesus. It is for today. What other day would it be for? Stop picking and choosing what you will "agree" with and believe just what it says. What good is the gift of healing in heaven? There is no sickness or disease in heaven. Healing is for right now, here on the Earth. If you choose not to receive it that is your choice, but don't blame God for not giving it to you.

THE DEFEAT OF SUICIDE - Part II

I'm writing all of this to Christians because it is totally irrelevant to non-believers. If what I am saying about the Bible, the Word of God, through the scriptures that He gave us in the New Testament is not true, then what scriptures are true? Are the even verses true and the odd verses lies? I choose to believe the Word of God.

Suicide is a spiritual attack. It can be totally defeated by commanding it in the name of Jesus to leave; preceded by and followed by faith, reading the Bible scriptures often, fasting, and praying to God in the name of Jesus. I know it sounds simplistic, but should healing be difficult for Jesus since He has already destroyed the works of the devil? Is it any more difficult to be healed of a headache, fever, leprosy, cancer, a cold, broken bones, blindness, deafness, etc., than it is to be healed of suicidal ideations or depression or mental illness?

Deuteronomy 30:19, God tells His people if given the choice of life and death, choose life; John 5:6, Jesus asks the man by the pool of Bethesda, do you want to be made well; John 10:10, Jesus says that He has come to give life (not death, sickness, or disease). Jesus is not a liar. Satan, the devil, is a liar and the father of lies. Do you believe the Bible? It is up to Believers to receive the promises of God.

Command any and all sicknesses and diseases to be healed in the name of Jesus and they must obey. However, according to your faith, the manifestation of your command for healing appears. If you do not want to be responsible for your healing then, recognize that you are responsible for your continued illness. ALL sicknesses, diseases, and mental attacks are NOT from God. If God sent them to you, then who can cure them?

Mark 16:15-18, "And He (Jesus) said to them:

•go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.

•He who believes and is baptized will be saved;

•but he who does not believe will be condemned.

•And these signs will follow those who believe:

•In My name (Jesus) they will cast out demons;

•they will speak with new tongues (yes, for today);

•they will take up serpents (not be harmed when bitten) (not play with serpents like some snake charmer);

•and if they drink anything deadly (someone attempts to poison you), it will by no means hurt them;

•they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." Just do it!

In the fall of 1992, an attack from the spirit of suicide came for my life (it wasn't the first time). I had decided to take my life that night, but I somehow made it through the night. Early the next morning I heard the Word of God from a pastor on TV. (I explain this in "The Road to Self-Worth" Marriage and Relationships.) It was three (3) years from that day before I again remembered that suicide attack. I have counseled hundreds of people, married men and women, singles, teens, pastors, and many others in ministry on suicide attacks. To this day, none of them have taken their lives by the demonic attack of suicide; that I know of.

Take authority over demonic spiritual attacks. This also includes anger. No one can manage anger either. Anger, like suicide, is a spiritual warfare attack. Command it to go in the name of Jesus and it must flee from you. It may return, but say the name of Jesus often and the devil will stop attacking you with things that will make you say the name of Jesus.
